1,000 Schengen Visa stickers stolen from Italian embassy in Pakistan

Islamabad: Italy has requested Pakistan to help investigate theft of 1000 Schengen visa stickers from a locker at its embassy in Islamabad.

In a letter to Pakistan government,  Italy has also shared the number of stolen stickers with authorities in Islamabad to keep track of them at all entry and exit points.

The Schengen Area is an area comprising 26 European countries that have officially abolished all passport and all other types of border control at their mutual borders.

The area mostly functions as a single jurisdiction for international travel purposes, with a common visa policy.
