Afridi speaks to doctors about Umer Sharif in visit to US, asks PM to expedite visa process

Washington: Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi said on Friday that he has talked to doctors in the United States about Umer Sharif’s condition and they are ready to treat the Pakistani legend.

In a Twitter statement, Afridi urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to expedite the visa process for Sharif who is in critical condition and needs immediate treatment.

“I urge Imran Khan to expedite the US visa process for asset of our Nation Umer Sharif who is in critical condition and needs immediate treatment,” said Afridi, who is currently on a visit to the US.

Afridi added, “I have spoken to doctors here in USA and they r ready to serve. We have hope but it is time sensitive. Appreciate immediate attention.”

Meanwhile, PM Imran Khan’s spokesman Shahbaz Gill said the premier has taken notice of Sharif’s condition and ordered authorities concerned to make necessary arrangement for his travelling to the US.
