Israel’s Iron Dome reportedly malfunctions
Tel Aviv: Israel’s Iron Dome reportedly malfunctioned on Sunday, with missiles fired by the air defense system hitting houses and a hospital in Tel Aviv.
Videos of purported interceptors exploding inside Israel were released by pro-Palestine news networks.
Israel has not commented on the reports.
Iron Dome is designed to intercept and destroy short-range rockets and artillery shells fired from distances of 4 to 70 kilometres (2–43 mi) away and whose trajectory would take them to an Israeli populated area.
