Karachi: Renowned Islamic scholar and the President of Darul Uloom Korangi Mufti Rafi Muhammad Usmani passed away on Friday.
He has unwell since contracting coronavirus two years ago.
Rafi Usmani was the patron of several Madrassah’s belonging the Deobandi school of thought.
Politicians, lawyers, businessmen and members of the civil society have expressed grief over the death of the cleric.
They also offered condolences to the family and students of Maulana Rafi Usmani.
He was the elder brother of prominent scholar Maulana Taqi Usman.
