Turkish actress Özge Törer won the “Best Actress of the Year” award for her stellar performance historical TV series “Kurlus:Osman”.
Ozge portrays Bala Hatun, the wife of Osman Bey in the popular Turkish series which is being aired on a Turkish channel and is highly popular in Pakistan and elsewhere.

Few people know that Bala Hatun was handed the award by none other than a relative of real Osman Ghazi, Ertugrul’s son and the founder of the Ottoman Empire.
Nilhan Osmanoglu, the granddaughter of Sultan Abdul Hamid II [the 34th Sultan of the Ottoman Empire] was present at the awards ceremony and was pictured giving the award to Özge Törer.
“Kurulus: Osman” received four awards at the “Crystal Globe Awards”, according to the makers of the historical TV series.
