Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader and former Punjab education minister Murad Raas has drawn criticism for asking Turkey not to give any kind of support to Pakistani government
His statement came at a time when Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif was on a three-day visit to Turkey.
Pakistan has been desperately looking for an IMF deal and is seeking support from friendly counties due to deteriorating economic situation which the incumbent government blames on Murad Raas’s party.
In a Twitter statement, he wrote, “WARNING FOR TURKEY: Do not give any kind of support to this IMPORTED GOVERNMENT in Pakistan. They will RUIN your Investment and you will LOSE everything. Just monitor the last 30 days, all your questions will be answered.”
Social media users lamented the fact that the statement came from the man who served as an education minister in the previous government.
