Cricket fans were shocked when they saw Indian bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar delivered what appeared to be the fastest ball in the history of cricket.
It happened during Indian T20 match against Ireland.
Fans starting wondering whether the 32-year fast-medium bowler has broken Shoaib Akhtar’s record for the fastest.
Thousands of tweets were posted with screenshots of speedometer’s picture featuring Bhuvneshwar Kumar’s speed.
But it later appeared that the speed shown by the device was the result of some technical problem.
The error occured when Kumar bowled the first ball of the rain affected match to Paul stirling.
