Opener Fakahr Zaman (65 off 44 balls) was conspicuous with his 65 runs who along with Sohail Akhtar provided a good start to Qalandars.
But the defending champions successfully restricted Qalandars as soon as both the openers were sent back to pavilion who provided a 50-run partnership.Qalandars could add only 40 runs in the final six hours.
Even Rahat Ali’s 4-wicket haul was unable to save Qalandars from the defeat.While chasing the target, Ali brought down top order of Islamabad United by taking two wickets in an over.
Soon the defending champions recovered to win the match by five wickets in the last over.
