Authorities in US have warned people against doing “Outlet challenge” that has become a trend on TikTok and other social media platforms.
The challenge requires social media users to spark using part of a phone charger, a wall outlet and a penny.
According to the authorities the “outlet challenge” may cause damage and start fire.
An official with US state of Massachusetts Fire said the freighters recently found two scorched outlets and a cellphone charger with a penny fused to the prongs at a school.
Although there were no injuries reported from the incident, the authorities have warned that the Tiktok challenge is capable of causing serious damge to life and property.
The Outleft challenge has alerted government officials in many countries, with officials requesting the parents to keep an eye on their children.
TikTok has become the most popular smartphone application in the world after Facebook.
