Abhinandan’s return : “My brother gave birth to baby boy” tweets remind Pakistanis of “Mamu Ka Beta Kamran”

Indian pilot Abhinandan Varthaman received a hero’s welcome after Pakistan returned him to New Delhi.

Hashtag #WelcomeHomeAbhinandan became  one of the top Twitter trends in India with people paying tribute to the pilot who was shot down over Kashmir and detained by Pakistani security forces.

Hundreds of  tweets were posted with  “Welcome Home Abhinandan” hashtag. But Pakistani users have found something hilarious about the hashtag only they can understand.

They were having field day on Twitter after knowing that same message was posted from multiple Twitter accounts with the popular hashtag.

The user(s) behind the  Twitter accounts shared the same story: #My brother gave birth to a baby boy today, we have decided to keep his name Abhinandan. Our Josh is still high. U tell me how is the name”

Earlier this month, Pakistanis users had noticed the same pattern when they had caught  a Twitter account apparently run by a PTI supporter tweeting  same message from different accounts after Saudi Arabia announced to release over 2000 Pakistani inmates on Prime Minister Imran Khan.

The tweet posted in Urdu said “My uncle’s  son Kamran, who was imprisoned in Saudi Arabia, has been released from jail. I talked to him. He was crying and thanking Khan Sahib (Prime Minster Imran Khan)”.

After finding the story behind the Tweet, users posting hilarious tweets making “Mamu Ka Beta Kamran” one of the top hashtag trends.
