Dua Lipa is a Muslim?

Dua Lipa is dating French filmmaker Romain Gavras who is 15 years older than her.

The 27-year-old British singer started dating with Romain after her break up with Anwar Hadid.

Dua Lipa fans have been wondering about her religion since she started dating Anwar, the brother of Gigi and Bella Hadid who are the daughters of Mohamed Anwar Hadid, a Jordanian-American real estate developer of Palestinian origin.

Gigi is now a mother of a daughter with Zayn Malik, who is a Pakistani-origin British singer and comes from a devout Muslim family.

Most of Dua’s fans were surprised to know that Dua Lipa is a Muslim herself although she has never publicly discussed her religious beliefs. Few people know that meaning of her name is “prayer”.

Born in 1995 in London, the 25-year-old is the eldest child of Kosovo Albanians Dukagjin Lipa and Anesa Lipa of a Muslim family.

Through her maternal grandmother, Lipa is of Bosnian descent and her parents travelled to London in 1992, around the time the siege of Sarajevo occurred, settling in a refugee community from their home country.
