Shahid Afridi overwhelmed by Turkish TV series Diriliş: Ertuğrul

Shahid Afridi has turned out to be an avid fan of Turkish TV drama Diriliş: Ertuğrul.
The former captain of Pakistan team says he is overwhelmed by the historical adventure.

The flamboyant cricketer posted a poster of the drama series on his Twitter and Instagram showering praise on the series that follows Ertugrul, father of Osman, founder of Ottoman Empire.

“Watching the Turkish series Diriliş: Ertuğrul I’m just overwhelmed by their achievements and victories that came as a result of their faith in ALLAH and the empire of justice which they were able to establish as a result of,” he wrote in the caption.
The former Pakistan cricket team captain prayed that Muslims once again be like their ancestors who went on to found Ottoman Empire with sheer power of their faith in God and justice. “May we be like that once again,” he wrote.
Created by Mehmet Bozdağ, the TV series stars Engin Altan Düzyatan in the namesake leading role.
