TV anchor Madiha Naqvi gets married to Faisal Sabzwari

Karachi:Madiha Naqvi, the host of ARY’s morning show, has tied the knot with MQM leader Faisal Sabzwari.

Valima ceremony was attended by Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah and families of groom and bride and close friends.

Pictures of the wedding ceremony are doing the round on social media.

It is the second marriage of Faisal Sabzwari while Madia Naqvi’s first marriage had ended up in divorce.

The Lahore-based TV personality had worked for Duniya News as newscaster before joining Geo in 2011.

She co-hosted a show with renowned Pakistani actor Shaan Shahid on Geo TV before her first marriage.

She was also among the group of prominent journalists who had joined Bol News but the channel could not live up to expectation after facing a controversy following publication of a report in New York Times.

Madiha Naqvi continued working as morning show for Samaa before joining ARY which recently started a morning show.

The anchor co-hosts the show with famous comedian Shafaat Ali. ARY started the show after causing defections in rival Geo News which was airing arguably the most popular morning show Geo Pakistan.

The Ary show is the copy of Geo Pakistan which is hosted by inimitable Huma Amir Shah and her co-host Abdullah Sultan.

Irum Azeem Farooque, a former MQM lawmaker, had tweeted last year that an ex-MPA of the party secretly got married to the host of a morning show but failed to disclose it publicly.

She, however, did not reveal the name of the MQM leader. Now it turns out that she might be hinting towards Faisal Sabzwari.
