Zac Efron as Ted Bundy: Fans asked not to romanticize serial killer

Zac Efron essays the role of Ted Bundy, a diabolical serial killer, in a movie that was due to stream on Netflix and in select theaters on Friday.

Directed by Joe Berlinger, “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile” is
a chronicle of the crimes of Ted Bundy, from the perspective of his longtime girlfriend, who refused to believe the truth about him for years.

Berlinger has faced criticism for casting Zac Efron and making the murderer of scores of young girls as a sex symbol. While the director has his own reasons, the movie has taken the Twitter by storm.
