Actor Anwar Iqbal Baloch dies in Karachi

Karachi: Veteran TV actor Anwar Iqbal died in Karachi on Thursday.
The actor died after a prolonged battle with cancer. He was being treated at a private hospital.

His funeral prayers were offered at Baitul Mukarram mosque.
“By Allah’s will our beloved Brother, Muhammad Anwar Iqbal has passed away to his eternal abode. Namaz e janaza will be held after Isha prayer at BAIT-UL-MUKARRAM Masjid on Hassan Square. Tadfeen will be at Meva Shah Graveyard. Request prayers for his maghfirat,” his brother Ahmed Iqbal said in a statement.
Anwar Iqbal produced first and last Balochi film “ Hammal O Mahganj” which sparked controversy and was forced to stop screening.
He has been bravely battling with cancer for a while .His wife’s death a few months ago had also left him very sad and passive.Anwar was a son of a renown politician from Balochistan “Haji Muhammad Iqbal Baluch “who took important part in the independence of Pakistan and highlighted the importance of Gawadar.
Anwar iqbal held a masters degree and started his carrier in acting in 1976.
