Aftab Iqbal apologizes over controversial remarks

Lahore: Thousands of people on Monday took to social media to protest against Aftab Iqbal for his controversial remarks about Ghazwa Uhad and Sahaba.

Over 20,000 thousands tweets were posted as protesters made hashtag trend against former Khabarnaak anchor.

As the protest intensified in Pakistan, the comedy show host recorded a video message wherein he issued an explanation and tendered an unconditional apology.

He also apologized to everyone whose sentiments were hurt by his remarks.
