Chief Justice’s daughter Sahar Bandial resigns from PEMRA amid criticism
Lahore: Sahar Zareen Bandial, the daughter of Supreme Court Chief Justice Atta Muhammad Bandial, has resigned from PEMRA.
She has been serving as member of the Council of Complaints of the electronic media watchdog since 2019.
Sahar Bandial’s resignation comes amid criticism as the Chief Justice heads an apex court bench to hear a suo motu case into Deputy Speaker National Assembly Qasim Suri’s ruling on the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The CJP has been criticized for not making justice Qazi Faiz Isa, Justice Yahya Afridi and Justice Mansoor Ali Shah part of the bench.
