Karachi: Police on Thursday said as many as 10 people were arrested during a raid at a dance party organized in connection with Halloween.

Without revealing the identities of those arrested, the police said that a case was registered on behalf of the state in the Gizri Police Station under the Drugs and Speaker Act.

The police said “boys and girls” were found half naked when the raid took place at the party held at the Mianwali House in DHA Phase Four.

They said that eight liquor bottles, speakers and other material were confiscated during the raid.

The police said that permission for the party was sought from the DC South by organizer Ayan Ali.

The police, however, did not comment on why videos of the participants, some of them underaged students,, were made by the raiding party.

The police also remained mum on whether any action would be taken against those who circulated the videos on social media.

Videos of the party have gone viral, with some clips showing multiple women stripped to bras.

A large number of people demanded the government take action against the policemen who made videos of the party participants.
