Elon Musk reacts to Google job cuts

Elon Musk is a prolific Twitter user who has hardly taken a day off from the platform since he purchased it.
When he does not comment on a certain issue he lets people know what he thinks of it by pressing the “Like” button on tweets posted by other people.
Musk did not comment on Google’s decision to cut thousands of jobs but was quick to react when a user pointed out the “hypocrisy” that was shown when the Tesla chief had announced to cut jobs at Twitter.

Google’s parent Alphabet Inc (GOOGL.O) is cutting about 12,000 jobs as it faces “a different economic reality”, it said in a staff memo, doubling down on artificial intelligence (AI) and axing staff who support experimental projects.
The job cuts affect 6% of its workforce, and follows thousands of layoffs at tech giants including Amazon.com Inc (AMZN.O), Microsoft Corp (MSFT.O) and Meta Platforms Inc (META.O) who are downsizing after a pandemic-led hiring spree left them flabby in a weak economy.
