Imran Khan skips Arshad Sharif’s funeral

Islamabad: Thousands of people attended the funeral prayers for late journalist Arshad Sharif in the federal capital on Thursday.
Held at the iconic Faisal Mosque, the funeral was also attended by a large number of journalists, lawyers and political workers.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan was conspicuous by his absence.
Khan, however, attended the funeral in absentia in Lahore.
Khan was previously criticized for not attending the funerals of his close friend Naeemul Haq, nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan and several other prominent figures who were known to be his acquaintances.
Imran Khan is currently in Lahore for preparations of his long march that starts on Friday.
