Imran Riaz Khan highlights negative comments on ISPR Eid tweet
Rawalpindi: Anchor Imran Riaz Khan, who is considered a mouthpiece for the Pakistani establishment, is using his social media to target the army for not taking sides with Imran Khan.
The former anchor and now a famous YouTuber, on Tuesday highlighted thousands of negative comments the ISPR’s tweet posted on Eid day received online.
The tweet said Army Chief General Bajwa celebrated Eid with troops at the Line of Control, the defacto border with India.
More than 50,000 people replied to the tweet and most of them appeared to be former prime minister Imran Khan’s supporters.
The PTI supporters wrote harsh comments as they criticized the army and its boss for their alleged role in Khan’s removal from office.
Imran Riaz Khan, who is reportedly making millions of rupees by catering to PTI support base on YouTube and other social media websites, seized the opportunity and make a video out of the reaction on ISPR tweet.
Imran Riaz was of the view that the army was receiving backlash because it was not playing its role in ending the so-called political crisis that unfolded due to Khan’s ouster.
