Karachi suicide bomber Shari Baloch’s family breaks silence

Karachi: The family of Shari Baloch,the woman who carried out the suicide attack in the University of Karachi earlier this week, broke its silence on Friday, days after three Chinese and their Pakistan driver was killed in the blast.

Shari’s brother-in-law said in a Facebook post , “We are against every extremist act that results in losing innocent lives.”

Dr Siraj Bashir said, “Our traditions and family do not support such extremist acts.”

“Strongly condemn the April 26th suicide attack inside Karachi University.”

He did not talk about what led Shari Baloch to blow herself up to target Chinese teachers.

According to journalist Kiyya Baloch, Siraj Bashir is a Ph.D who currently teaches Sociology at Balochistan University.

Bashir is the brother of Dr Haibtaan, the husband of the suicide bomber.
