Kashmir special status revoked: Here is what world media says

Islamabad: India on Monday revoked Kashmir’s special status that was granted to the Occupied territory decades ago under article 375 of the constitution.

The decision has stoked fears of violence in the already tense region where Indian forces have killed scores of people over the last few weeks.

The measure drew strong reaction from Pakistan with Prime Minister Imran Khan discussing the issue with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamed and other world leaders.

Although, US and European countries are still observing the situation and has refrained from condemning New Delhi for its security crackdown in Occupied Kashmir, the issue was in headlines in international media on Monday.
