Nawaz’s loyalists confront ‘PTI protesters’ outside Lanesborough hotel as Junaid Safdar marries Ayesha Saif
London: Nawaz Sharif’s loyalists confronted a family who had arrived to protest outside London’s The Lanesborough hotel where Junaid Safdar’s Nikkah ceremony was held on Sunday.
According to Geo News correspondent Murtaza Ali Shah, minicab driver Nadeem parked his car outside the venue of Junaid Safdar’s nikkah event and started dancing with his family demanding the return of ‘looted money’.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz workers who were attending the ceremony chanted slogans against Prime Minister Imran Khan as they surrounded Nadeem.
The protester who reportedly came along with his family made a spectacle of himself as he started dancing in front of the Pakistani journalists who had gathered there to cover the event.
When Murtaza Ali Shah tried to talk to the women accompanying the man, they chose not to speak and remain seated in their car.
Police arrived on the scene and both the parties were said to have lodged complaints against each other.
In a string of tweets, Shah shared multiple clips that showed Nadeem speaking against the PMLN leadership and shouting back at the PMLN workers who were chanting slogans against the prime minister.
Meanwhile, a group of men and women led by a man named Zafar also tried to hold a protest but the PMLN workers dispersed them.
A video clip showed Zafar being kicked by an unknown men while a woman who introduced herself as Zafar’s sister said they were manhandled by the PMLN workers.
