PTI leader Tariq Shafi’s house raided in Karachi
Karachi: The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) raided the house of Tariq Shafi, a PTI leader and a close aide to former prime minister Imran Khan.
Shafi is nominated in a case pertaining to alleged illegal transfer of money from foreign countries to Pakistan.
According to private broadcaster ARY, the FIA team camped outside the house of the PTI leader.
The agency was waiting for search warrant to enter his house.
The raid was carried out by the FIA’s State Bank Circle.
The family of Tariq Shafi said that he was not at home at the time of the raid.
Syed Arif Masood Naqvi, PTI official Tariq Shafi and Muhammad Rafi Lakhani are also named in the case registered on October 5.
