PTI protesters gather outside GHQ after Imran Khan’s arrest

Rawalpindi: A large number of PTI supporters gathered outside the military’s General Headquarters in Rawalpindi to protest the arrest of former prime minister Imran Khan.
Country-wide protests broke out after Khan was taken into custody by paramilitary troops during a court appearance.
The PTI workers also stormed the Corps Commander House in Lahore, in an unprecedented move in Pakistan where the military has traditionally been respected and feared.
Khan was handed over to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in a case pertaining to the establishment of a private university.
Before leaving for Islamabad in the morning, Khan had defended himself for criticizing Major General Faisal Naseer, an intelligence officer who he wants to nominate in a case pertaining to an assassination attempt on him.
