Ramiz Raja’s pension is his right as ex-cricketer not a bribe to keep mum

Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s official Shakil Shaikh said Ramiz Raja has signed code of conduct to take benefit from players’ welfare policy.
Taking to Twitter, Sheikh shared that Ramiz will start taking benefit from players’ welfare policy from January 1, 2023.
Some media outlets gave the impression that Ramiz Raja would not criticize the PCB in return for the pension. The reports in this regard are incorrect.
Raja was entitled to the pension due to all retired test cricketers; which was paused due to his employment as chairman PCB. Once he was removed, that pension was reinstated and it was his right.
It wasn’t a new pension request and it didn’t need ‘approval’, according to Lawyer Abdul Moiz Jafferi.
