Saleem Safi, Shahbaz Gill get involved in Twitter fight

Islamabad: Former prime minister Imran Khan’s aide Shahbaz Gill and senior Pakistani journalist and anchor Saleem Safi got engaged in an ugly Twitter fight on Sunday.

It started over Saleem Safi’s claim that President Arif Alvi was not allowed to attend the funeral of Lt.General Sarfaraz , who died in a helicopter crash, because of some inappropriate tweets allegedly posted by PTI supporters.

Shahbaz Gill was of the view that the general’s family welcomed PTI chairman to their house to offer Fateha.

He accused Safi of lying and pitting the PTI against the army.

He also launched personal attacks on the journalist and asked PTI supporters to join him in trolling Safi.

Saleem Safi, who said he stands by his news, also responded to Gill in a harsh manner.
