Saudi rulers refuse to meet Nawaz Sharif?
Riyadh: Rumors that the Saudi rulers have refused to meet the former prime minister Nawaz Sharif are incorrect.
Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz performer Umrah for which they were invited by the Saudi royal family.
A meeting between Nawaz Sharif and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman took place at he royal palace in Riyadh on Friday.
According to Geo News, the meeting took palace on the day of Eid in Saudi Arabia and Maryam Nawaz was also present when her father met Mohammad bin Salman.
Meanwhile, PTI social media activists circulated some photos of TV screens with claims that Arab language channels were reporting the Sharif family had been denied a meeting with the Saudi King and his son Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.
The claims are fake as the photos of the TV screen are old and were taken when the broadcaster reported on the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
