Two women accuse anchor Jameel Farooqui of sexual harassment

Karachi: At least two women including a journalist have accused anchor and YouTuber Jameel Farooqui of sexual harrasment.

Taking to Twitter, Javeria Sheikh said the anchor trier to rape her with his friends in 2019.

“I was forced to keep quiet by the PTI government and I was scared,” she said.

The woman said that she would file a police case against Jameel Farooqui on Monday.

Javeria Shaikh said that her family is being harassed after she came forth with the allegations against the BOL News anchor.

Journalist Aqsa Shams said Jameel Farooqui harassed her on WhatsApp and asked inappropriate questions. She said the YouTuber asked her to come to Islamabad and live in his apartment.

She said she can support her claims with evidence.

Jameel Farooqui has yet to respond to the allegations. Meanwhile, PTI supporters on Twitter have started defending Farooqui and attacking the two women for speaking against the anchor.
