Videos that led to lawyers attack on Lahore hospital

Lahore: A frenzied mob of lawyers on Wednesday stormed the Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC), in an unprecedented attack on a medical facility which led to death of at least one patient.

The attack followed a feud between Young Doctors and lawyers. The group of lawyers subjected doctors, patients, policemen and Punjab Information Minister Fayaz Chohan who had arrived at the hospital to resolve the dispute.

#Lawyer, #Lahore, #Wuklagardi, and #PICUnderAttack became top Twitter trends in Pakistan as the nation condemned the black coats for what they called their hooliganism.

Videos of the attacking lawyers circulating on the social media angered the entire nation, with people calling for strict action against them.

According to preliminary report, the lawyers attacked the PIC over a viral video from a doctors’ protest. In the video, a young doctor is seen mocking the lawyers.

As the lawyer moved towards the medical facility, one of them posted a video in which he is seen asking the doctors to be prepare for the attack.
