Zubair Motiwala shares details of Army Chief Asim Munir’s meeting with traders
Karachi: Zubair Motiwala, a well-known industrialist, has revealed the details of Army Chief General Asim Munir’s meeting with traders and businessmen.
Speaking on Waseem Badami’s ARY News show, Motiwala said that the much-discussed meeting took place at Corps Commander House.
He said that the army chief assured them that action will be taken against the elements involved in land grabbing, kidnapping for ransom, extortion and organized street crimes.
The industrialist, however, added that most of street criminals were committing robberies due to the worsening economic situation.
He said the army chief not only did issued orders to the DG Rangers to address their grievances, Munir also promised that he will keep meeting the traders to ensure that his orders are implemented.
Asked what was the difference between the meetings previous army chiefs held with the traders, Zubair Motiwala said that the incumbent chief arranged the rendezvous after taking some concrete steps.
Motiwala then referred to Asim Munir’s talks with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman about investment in Pakistan.
