Absa Komal, Geo anchor with uncanny resemblance to Katrina, leaves fans guessing with new photo

Absa Komal, Geo TV’s news anchor and host of popular “Report Card” show, left her fans guessing with a photo which she posted to her Instagram story on Saturday.

The journalist who has an uncanny resemblance to Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif posted an image of herself holding a heart shaped green cardboard with no caption
From the color of the heart and her attire, we can safely say it was not a Valentine’s Day post.

The “Report Card” anchor was recently interviewed by VOA Urdu during which she talked about her professional and personal life.
Asked whether she would continue to work after her marriage, Absa Komal said although she intends to continue her job , she can’t say for sure she would be able to do it.

“I will plan things accordingly,” she told Mubashir Zaidi, a VOA journalist and her former colleague at Geo TV.
“You have a resemblance to Katrina Kaif, have you thought about joining showbiz,” asked Zaidi.
The Geo News anchor suppressed her smile thanked Zaidi and said she was doing what she was supposed to do.

Absa Komal, however, looked unhappy with the way women are treated in Pakistan.
“Female news anchors are treated like an object while in other countries they are taken seriously,” said she.
Answering a question, she said she had covered last Russian elections and was passionate about reporting from Islamabad where “actual things happen”.
Absa Komal said although she studied psychology, she has always been eager to become an anchor.

She has over 50 thousands followers on her Instagram account and over 90 thousands on Twitter.
Absa Komal also has a good sense of humor and she recently displayed it when a fellow journalist asked for movie suggestions.

“The Dictator”, she quipped recommending Sacha Baron Kohen’s comedy flick released in 2012.
