London: British Prime Minster Boris Johnson on Friday became the second high profile figure in his country to contract coronavirus, a day after Prince Charles was reported to have tested positive for the disease also known as the COVID-19.
The reports of the prince and the prime minister having the virus, sparked rumors that Queen Elizabeth has also contracted coronaviurs. The reports are incorrect.
The speculations started after reports emerged that the British monarch had met the prime minister earlier this month.
The other reason internet users thought she might have contracted the virus was her meetings with Prince Charles, the Queen’s son and the heir to the British throne.
According to British media reports, the Queen is in self-quarantine while Buckingham Palace said her majesty is in good health.
There are also no reports on whether the Queen has taken any test for coronavirus.
