WATCH: Pakistan hands over pilot Abhinandan to India
Lahore: Pakistan on Friday handed back captured pilot Abhinandan Varthaman to India at Wahgah Border crossing.
Before being released, the Indian pilot conceded in a video message that his plane was shot down by Pakistani military.
The pilot was captured by Pakistani forces on Wednesday after shooting down his aircraft over Kashmir on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Imran Khan, however, decided to release him as a good will gesture as part of his efforts to defuse tensions between the nuclear armed nations.
The pilot also praised Pakistan Army as a good service and recounted the details how he was saved from the mob.
