Has Pervez Musharraf returned to Pakiatan?
Islamabad: Some anchors and YouTubers are claiming that former military General (retd) Pervez Musharraf has returned to Pakiatan.
Arshad Sharif, the ARY anchor who has turned his guns against the military establishment after Imran Khan’s removal, on Wednesday posted a cryptic tweet regarding arrival of a guest from the United Arab Emirates.
Dawn News anchor Mubashir Zaidi also confirmed that the “guest” arrived three days ago.
The ailing general was recently visited by Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
His family said that doctors told them Musharraf won’t be able to recover from his illness.
Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif said the government would make arrangements if Musharraf decides to return to Pakistan.
No formal statement has been made either by the government or Musharraf’s family about his return.
