Iqbal Day holiday notification issued

Islamabad: The federal government on Tuesday announced a public holiday on account of Iqbal Day on Wednesday.

A notification issued by the government said, “The Prime Minister has been pleased to desire that 9th November (Iqbal Day) shall henceforth be observed as Public Holiday.”

It was not clear whether the public holiday would be observed every year on the Iqbal Day, which marks the birth of Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
