MNAs Wajiha Akram, Noor Alam Khan receive backlash for turning against Imran Khan
Lahore: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers on Friday gathered out side the residence of MNA Wajiha Akram, a day after she was found holed up in Sindh House along with a group of PTI turncoats.
The protesters carrying “Lotas” in their hands chanted slogans against the lawmaker who was elected on a reserved seat.
The PTI workers demanded Wajiha Akram, who belongs to Punjab’s Shakargarh area, resign from her seat for losing the trust of the party.
Wajiha Akram,who took refuge in Sindh House with the MNAs who are willing to vote against Prime Minister Imran Khan on a no-confidence motion, said she has yet to decide whether she would cast her vote.
Meanwhile, PTI MNA from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Noor Alam Khan was also confronted by party supporters at a hotel in Islamabad.
Khan said that he also received threatening messages on his phone.
