PTI govt hired lobbying firm owned by CIA veteran Robert Laurent Grenier
Islamabad: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) contracted former CIA officer to provide consultation, political advisory, and “public information and advocacy as related to relations between” the US and Pakistan for $25,000 a month, according to documents.
The former CIA officer Robert Laurent Grenier of Grenier Consulting has served as the secret agency’s station chief in Islamabad.
The lobbying firm was hired to deepen ties with Biden administration.
The contract was signed for the period between May and October 2021.
