It was time to repay, not eject: Ramiz on Amir’s retirement

Karachi: Ramiz Raja on Friday criticized Mohammad Amir’s decision to retire from Test Cricket hours after the left arm pacer surprised fans with his announcement .
Taking to Twitter, Ramiz Raja called Amir’s decision to retire at the age of 27 disappointing and said it is not in line with the needs of Pakistan cricket.

“Besides being dismissive of the greatest format that makes stars and legends his decision is clearly not in in line with the needs of Pakistan cricket”
Earlier, in a statement issued by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Amir said: “It has been an honour to represent Pakistan in the pinnacle and traditional format of the game. I, however, have decided to move away from the longer version so I can concentrate on white ball cricket.
