Video: Strong earthquake hits Dubai

Dubai: A strong earthquake on Thursday shook buildings in Dubai, sending people scurrying into streets.

According to local authorities, A magnitude 5.8 Earthquake jolt in Dubai at 3:16 am local time. No loss of life or property was reported. The USGS said 5.8 earthquake hit 57 km NNW of Bandar-e Lengeh, Iran.

Pakistani TV show host Fakhr-e-Alam said “My building is being inspected by building staff to check for cracks or any kind of structural stress the building may have suffered.”

He added, “These were pretty strong tremors and lasted for almost a minute. Hope everyone is safe.”
