Karachi: Actress Veena Malik has voiced support for veteran TV and film actor Firdous Jamal who is being called out for his remarks against Mahira Khan.
Jamal had made the remarks during a TV interview, triggering a strong backlash online.
In a string of tweets on Saturday, Veenal Malik defended Jamal and lamented that the actor is being attacked for having his opinion about another actor.
She reminded the people that Jamal was and is part of the showbiz before anyone else who’s criticizing him.
” How these people will grow if They cant take slightest criticism?,” she wrote.
In another tweet she said “Firdous Jamal is a legendary actor & Sir Pakistan is proud of U.He has also received Pride of Performance because he deserved it. I still remember his dramas Manchaley ka Sauda and Waris they were so impactful. Every artist should welcome critisim so that we get better.”
Veena Malik was of the view that Jamal’s views about Mahira Khan’s acting was his opinion which should be respected.
