Aisha Bajwa says she is not army chief’s niece

Aisha Bajwa, a Pakistani-American activist, who wasa part of a delegation to Israel has dismissed the reports that she is the niece of the Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

She was responding to a viral post that featured her picture with the Israeli president with a claim that she was General Bajwa’s niece.

She said, “This is fake news.This is me but I am not Gen Bajwa’s niece.I am an American-Pakistani and there is no relation to COAS or other Pakistani political parties. I am an interfaith activist where our goal is peace making.”

Meanwhile, an online misinformation campaign against the army chief continued on Twitter where two trends were made in a single day.

Some tweets posted under the hashtag trend said General Bajwa raised objections to Imran Khan waring Shalwar Qameez during official meetings.

The posts claimed that the army chief spoke about Khan’s outfit during an address to the serving and former army officials.
