Gilroy Garlic Festival shooter bought AK-47 legally in Navada
California: Gilroy Police has confirmed the 19 year old shooter who shot dead three people and left over a dozen injured at Gilroy Garlic Festival bought his weapon, an AK 47 style weapon, legally in Nevada a few weeks ago.
The police chief confirmed a six-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl are among the dead, along with a man in his 20s.
The Suspect was armed with an assault type rifle, as soon as suspect saw officers approach he took aim at them. Three officers were able to kill him within a minute of his opening fire.
Gilroy Mayor commended law enforcement for preventing further tragedy and responding quickly to the shooter at Gilroy Garlic Festival.
