Grumpy Cat with 8.5M Facebook, 1.5M Twitter, 2.4M Instagram followers dies
Grumpy Cat, the face of viral memes, has died. “Some days are grumpier than others,” said publicist of the cat in a statement on Friday.
The seven year old Grumpy Cat died on Tuesday morning from complications related to a urinary tract infection, the publicist said.
Grumpy Cat whose real name was Tardar Sauce became famous world over after a photo of her frowning face went viral on Reddit in 2012.
The cat with 8.5 million Facebook, 2.4 million Instagram 1.5 million followers on Twitter and over 260,000 subscribers on Youtube died peacefully in the arms of her owner, Tabatha Bundesen.
Internet users were mourning the death of Grumpy Cat who brought smiles to millions of faces around the world with her famous frown.
