Here is why PETA criticized Steve Irwin Google Doodle

Google Doodle recently celebrated 57^th birthday of late Steve Irwin, a wildlife conservationist and TV personality, but People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) didn’t like it one bit.

PETA, an animal right organization, said the Google Doodle “sends a dangerous, fawning message” because Irwin “was killed harassing a ray”.

The “Crocodile Hunter” host died in 2006 during an expedition due to Stingray injury.

In a string of tweets, PETA did go so far as to imply Irwin didn’t act like a “real wildlife expert”.

The users, however, hit back at PETA and praised Steve Irwin for saving the lives of countless animals.

Steve Irwin saved the lives of countless animals in his sanctuaries. He helped educate millions globally about animals’ needs and ways of life. He loved animals and cared for them greatly.
