Tehran: Former Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Pakistan will face consequences for its intervention in Panjshir in northern Afghanistan.
Speaking to a TV channel on Wednesday, Ahmadinejad claimed that Pakistani officers directly got involved in the war of Panjshir. “I have a piece of advice for Pakistan. What happened in Afghanistan will soon expand take the grip of Pakistan, Countries which supported and designed this will face the consequences,” he said.
Meanwhile, Iranian forces arrested protesters outside Pakistani embassy as demonstrators chanted slogans against Pakistan and the Iranian regime for what they said supporting the Afghan Taliban.
