Asad Toor makes outrageous claim about Imran Khan’s video
Amid speculations about the upcoming video involving former prime minister Imran Khan, journalist Asad Toor has discussed the issue on his YouTube channel.
Days after Khan said he could be target of a coordinated character assassination campaign, Toor claimed that he was approached by his highly placed source who was in contact with the people who allegedly posses the video.
He said when he expressed his willingness to release the video on the condition it had something crediblity, the people who are allegedly in possession of the video stepped back.
Toor also made an outrageous claim about who could feature in the video, without revealing whether he had seen the clip.
He, however, admitted that he had received two pictures and approached his unnamed sources to confirm whether the people in the photos were involved in the scandal.
The journalist said he received the answer in the negative.
Meanwhile, the hashtag #deepfake is trending on Twitter after the PTI and the leaders of the former ruling party flooded the microblogging website with explanations on how a fake video is created to tarnish the image of a person.

Meanwhile, some anti-PTI Twitter users including those allied with the incumbent government are targeting former minister Zartaj Gul by sharing some screenshots from a purported scandalous video.
The woman shown the screenshots had little resemblance with Zartaj Gul.
Moreover, a prominent female social media user linked to the PTI has shared screenshots from a WhatsApp group and said that government agencies had shared her doctored images.
The PTI supporter runs a Twitter account by the name of Mariam’s Madness @Maddywithkhan.
