FACT-CHECK: Mattia Polibio becomes victim of death hoax

New York: TikTok star Mattia Polibio on Tuesday became the latest victim of a death hoax.

The misleading report regarding his death was posted on multiple Instagram accounts that left his fans worrying.

The users were observed inquiring on Twitter, Facebook and Whatsapp about the veracity of the claims.

The reports regarding Mattia Polibio’s death have turned out to be false since there was no evidence available to corroborate the claims.

The fake news about his death was found circulating on Instagram with a screenshot of a news report titled “Matia Polibio Found Dead Last Night”.

Although the screenshot appears to show result from a search engine, no such report shows up when the claims are verified by running the searches.

Fellow TikTokers and friends of Mattia Polibio have also not posted any thing about the hoax.
