Reports about Asif Zardari’s death are fake
Karachi: Some social media users on Monday spread rumors about the health condition of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Asif Ali Zardari.
A purported picture of the former president of Pakistan was also circulated, with some users saying Asif Zardari has died while others claiming he is in critical condition.
It was also reported that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, Sharjeel Memon and Faryal Talpur left for Dubai where Zardari is admitted to a hospital.
YouTuber Tariq Mateen was also among those who shared a widely circulated picture with false claims.
The picture did not feature Murad Ali Shah with Asif Ali Zardari.
It was taken a few years ago when the Sindh chief minister visited a hospital to inquire about the health of PPP leader Qazi Hafeezur Rehman.
The original picture given below was shared with incorrect captions that claimed Asif Zardari is in critical condition.
